More bad?

So I'm sitting waiting for my truck to be inspected. I don't expect it to go well. It's been sitting for two years pretty much. I figured if I get it all fixed up Brandt could drive it once on a while. I'm pretty sure if the tires pass, they will just barely pass. That's another $500. Anyway, I sit and i wait. Just me and my thoughts. This can't be good!

Who hurt more...

So last night I'm setting in the living room watching Oceans 13. It got to a quite spot in the movie and I heard this horrible noise. It sounded like one of my aluminum baking pans banging around. When I got to the living room I noticed it wasn't coming from the kitchen at all. It sounded like it was coming from the A/C unit outside my window.

Now there were only two possibilities of what could be happening. One, the A/C had decided to to munch itself and self destruct. Two, someone was out there right now stealing my A/C unit. So I ran to the office to get my flashlight. On the way to the office, somehow I managed to get toe caught in the edge of the carpet. Well this caused it to basically bend under and I managed to step on my own toe. I, at the time, ignored the loud crack of my toe.

Well I limped and hobbled my way outside with my Barny Fife flashlight. As I rounded the corner I realized that there was a third possibility as to what could be causing this noise. How about a big ass snake sticking half out of the top of my A/C unit with his head and half his body beating against the fan with a loud clank.

When it rains, it pours...

So this morning the termite guys are here. I needed to clean out under the sinks and stuff to allow them access to treat under there. When I was cleaning under the kitchen sink I noticed some sort of liquid under there. I thought some of my cleaners or something was leaking. No such luck. It's my disposal. I ran about ten minutes of water through everything with no leaks. When I ran the water and turned on the disposal it wasn't just leaking out, it was pouring out. What's a couple hundred more dollars, right?

Work sucks...

So last night I was up until nearly 1am working to get their damn firewall working. Then this morning I get a call they want me to come in and babysit the a/c guys while they pit in a new unit. Who scheduled this and can I get some of what ever they are smoking. I guess I'll just take some time off next week. Maybe half the week.

Btw. This is my first post using the iPhone wordpress app. So far so good.

Welcome to Squarespace!

Welcome to your new Squarespace site!  Below is a video that shows you how to get started using our system.

The three most important things to keep in mind:

  • The buttons in the top right allow you to interact with your site in different ways.  For instance, the 'A' icon represents content mode, which lets you edit journal entries and other content.  The 'Cube' Icon represents structure mode, which lets you add and organize pages.  Each mode is explained if you hover on the icon.

  • You can drag and drop anything on your site.  Want to move a page?  Enter structure mode and drag the page to a new location.  You can even drag pages between columns or from a column on to your top navigation bar.  Need to edit a journal entry?  Enter content mode and click 'Modify' on the entry you'd like to edit.

  • Our styles are presets that you can make your own.  Entering style mode on the upper right will let you edit any color, width, column arrangement, or banner and more.  Most editing is done from the Fonts & Colors tab of the style edtior menu.

Want to remove this entry?  Enter content mode by pressing the 'A' on the upper right, then press 'remove' next to the title of this entry.

Do da math...

Here is my spam filter stats over the last year or so. If you do the math on the total received vs the total allowed it's pretty impressive. Out of nearly 3.9 million emails received it allowed just over 2.5% of all email through. That's over 97% of all inbound email is spam. And that's with it not cranked down as tight as it could be. I'm sure I could get over 98% out of it if needed. Yes, I'm know I'm a geek...

Weird thing...

So on Saturday night I had my own little cookout. I grilled chicken on the patio. Well before I grilled it I defrosted it in the microwave. Well I through away the packaging that it came in after I was finished defrosting it. While it was grilling I took out the trash so it wouldn't start to stink, which you know it will do. Well last night I noticed something smelling really bad. I couldn't tell where it was coming from. I thought it might be the trash so I took it out again, even though I knew I took it out just two nights before. Then after some serious searching I found it. Even tough I had previously cleaned out the microwave, when I defrosted the chicken somehow some, or actually quite a lot, of the chicken juice had leaked. It didn't just leak into the microwave, but it leaked down into the little thing that turns the table. I never clean down in there. Nothing ever gets in there. Well this time it did, and it was disgusting. Anyway, just wanted you to know.
