Tonight’s report

So today I saw the season premier of Lost and it was great, I can't wait until next week. Also saw Survivor which was pretty good. That Rita thing, or whatever it is, ya, so that is supposed to be kinda big, I guess... But seriously, Galvaston is uh, not going to enjoy this little storm. Has anybody seen the iPod Nano spoof? It is very funny, it's just like the commercial (they must have gotton made fun of so much that they changed their dancing silhoutte commercials) although they used a Macintosh Classic II. If you haven't seen it you have to (it's in Dig). Ok, Adult Swim got kicked out of the Friday night scheduling... This is bad and Family Guy, Futurama and Aqua Teen Hungar Force (ATHF) is good. Thankfully you can download these episodes on their website.

I need to go, sorta...

Got called out…

So I guess Brandt called me out. Yes, I was playing Crimson Skies, but that's over now. I finally beat it last night. Very frustrating game, yet very good game.

Today I'm feel like the living dead. I'm all good but VERY tired. I don't know what the deal was last night. I went to bed feeling 100%. About 2:30 or 3:00 I came down seriously ill. I had it all, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, cold sweats, intense weakness, and just a really bad feeling. It got so bad I almost woke Brandt up to keep an eye on me. It lasted about two hours and then just as quickly as it came, it went away again. I woke up this morning and felt fine. I was tired but other than that it's all good.

:P

So there is a lot to catch up on...
Tonight Lost, Invasion and CSI aired their season premiers... I saw the last half of Invasion and it looks promising, missed Lost although I'll see it tomarrow and CSI I didn't really want to see it tonight or know about it being on tonight. Dad hasn't really been posting lately, but that is because he has been to busy playing Crimson Skies. I'm going to Oklahoma Saturday morning so I might miss a post that is not because I am to lazy to normally get it done.
Gatowag is about to actually do something. Start looking forward to The Trials, it'll be a hit. As it is, we need to take things one thing at a time.

So until next time... 1,2,3 E-mail me 2,3,4 E-mail me more

Game #2

Well late Friday night we had game number 2. We sucked. It took us two innings to get through the batting lineup. Since I played last week I didn't get to start this week. After the second inning I went in as catcher. Unfortunatly the game only went three innings and we didn't make it through the lineup so I didn't get to bat. I don't know if we ran out of time or it was a run limit thing. We lost like 19 - 4 or something like that.

P.S. Brandt's posting now if you haven't noticed. :)

Game #1

Our first softball game was Friday evening. We lost 6-2 but it was a pretty good game. We'd had two practices and this being our first game, you'd know it had to be against a team that had been together a couple of years. I didnt' do to bad batting. My first at bat I singled with a line drive right into the pitchers mouth. I didn't see it cuz I was running, but this is what I hear. I scored two batters later. My second at bat I singled into shallow center field. I got stranded on second. So anyway, I guess that means I'm batting 1.000. The game was ended for time in the 6th inning. We did MUCH better than I expected. I came down with a bad case of shin splints. I'm just now able to walk again pretty much. Nothing else on me hurts which is quite a surpize. Anyway, can't wait until next friday.

P.S. Modded another xbox. I forgot to document it, next time...

Ouch

So I can hardly walk now. I had softball practice tonight and my shins are FRIGGIN KILLING me! They hurt a little bit last week, but I think the fact that my arm were actually bleeding from throwing so much made my shins seem inconsequential. Now this week my arm is all healed up so I notice them more. Anyway, I did very well. My fielding of course needs improvement, but I saw a lot of improvement over last week. My batting was solid. I did manage a in the field home run with a little help from our lack of fielding of course. :) We are kind of like the Bad News Bears, only with more cursing. :P

On another note, I've been having a lot of luck on the Xbox. Some of it good, some bad. Luckily enough for me I've learned a lot on the way. I actually hosed my drive over the weekend but I had learned enough to be able to recover it. I've gotten many things that didn't work on the original modded box to work. I certainly don't know everything but I'm pretty confident about the things I did learn. I don't really know how this will help me in life, career, or love, but if you know a hot blonde that needs to hire someone, a date as well as a knowledge of softmodding an Xbox, I'm your guy.

Who buys this stuff?

So what's the deal with Wal-mart. Here it is September 3rd and they already have Christmas stuff out. Let's face it you aren't going to get a better deal buying it early. If they don't sell it to you now, you'll still have to buy it later. So they'll just sell it to you then at the same price. I think they should just get it over with and have a 12 month a year christmas department. That's kind of what they are leaning towards anyway. I'll still buy all my christmas stuff the day after anyway so they aren't increasing any sales that they'd get from me by doing this. I just think it makes them look stupid that it's still over 100 degrees outside and they have chrismas stuff inside.

xBox mod

.........The story.........

.........The Fix.........

.........The Steps.........

  • Downloaded 007 game save hack.
  • Copy hack to mem stick and then transfer to subject xbox HDD.
  • Booted to 007 game, loaded hack as a saved mission, and booted into EvoX.
  • Put xbox on the network and let DHCP take care of the IP.
  • Make backups of software.
  • FTP'd the original C and E drive out for safe keeping.
  • MAKE SURE TO BACKUP MOD. Even though you don't have one at this time this step is important to create the eeprom.bin file.
  • Install the softmod. I don't believe this is 100% necessary. I'll know for sure next time.
  • Remove the original HDD, place in a anti-static bag, and put into the safe for future generations to enjoy.
  • Download xboxhdm and extract.
  • Place your backed up C and E drive in the C and E folder of xboxhd.
  • Place your eeprom.bin in the eeprom folder of xboxhd.
  • Run the bat file to create your iso image of xboxhdm.
  • Burn xboxhd to cd.
  • Install blank large HD into a surrogate PC as a primary master.
  • Boot to xboxhdm.
  • Type xboxhd.
  • Choose #1 then choose #1 again. This will drag you through the rebuild of your blank drive. Just follow directions.
  • Choose #6 to Generate HD key.
  • Reboot with the xboxhdm disk.
  • Chose #3.
  • Type lockhd -a
  • At this point you have an upgraded and modded xbox HDD.
  • Put HDD back into xbox and boot. If all went well you'll boot right into EvoX.
  • Start loading it up with stuff...
  • Small World

The world is a very small place. This morning Rachel called me. On what would have been our 14th Wedding Anniversary none the less (Happy Anniversary Rachel :)), and asked "Do you remember who introduced us?" Well of course I did, I couldn't think of her name right off but I could picture her like I'd seen her just yesterday. Her name was Michelle. "Yeah" I said. "Do you know who she is?" she asked. "Well of course I do, I think, but if you're asking then I guess I don't. Who is she?" She paused and then said "She was Ed's sister." Ed is her current boyfriend. That's pretty strange. I think if I was going out with the brother of the person that introduced me to my ex-husband I'd think that might weird me out a bit. The sad part is that Michelle was killed a few years back.

P.S. Night race this weekend. Don't forget and miss it.

    Possible, I think not…

How exactly is it possible that I have not only a valid drivers license, insurance, tag, and as of this morning inspection all at the same time on the bike. It's a good thing cuz you know when I ran up on that "five oh" this morning at over 90, I was just asking for a ticket. If it wasn't for being all up on everything I'm SURE I would have gotten one too. Well I guess I'll get back to letting things lapse now. :)

    BoneYard…

So last night I'm watching this show on the History Channel called "Boneyard". It's about the destruction and recycling of old airplanes and ships and stuff. I recorded it because a large portion is filmed at the AF Boneyard in AZ. I spent some time there and got a big tour so I thought it'd be cool to watch. As just about everybody knows I'm pretty much obsessed with aviation in general. When it comes to C-5s and stuff it's not uncommon for me to tear up cuz I'm sooooo into them. So anyway I'm watching this show and they are talking about tearing down all the air planes and stuff. Then they start showing these 141's they have retired and are tearing down to recycle. It kind of started to hit me when I was noticing the tail flashing and paint jobs. They added those flashings and paint jobs while I was still in. So I know they have been retired since then. Then in the background I notice something that looked familiar. It was the aft cargo doors and ramp of a C-5. I hadn't expected to see C-5's there. Talk about a pit in your stomach. I had to just stop watching. I later came back and fast forwarded through it just in case they were crunching up any. Luckily for me they didn't. They are just using them for spare parts. I can deal with that. I know from experience that some of those parts are really hard to come by so at least I know they are going to good use. Anyway, that's just a glimpse into my freakish obsession... or at least this one of many freakish obsessions.

    Gotta have priorities

That's right you have to have priorities. Last night the power went off here at the house. I'd only been in bed about thirty minutes when it went off. So of course when the fan went off I woke up right away. I got up and managed to find the number to the electric company and give them a call. Then I rummaged through the garage and found my jump starting battery thingy. Took that sucker into my bedroom along with my power converter out of the truck. So now I have a small amount of electrical power. Hummmm... what should I plug into it. My alarm clock, a light, maybe the refrigerator, NO. The answer is my fan of course. I was a little concerned that I couldn't turn it on high. It pulled to much power and tripped the converter so I had to run it on low. I was rather surpized I got an hour and a half outta that little battery. That also meant I got a little sleep as well. It finally ran the battery down and stopped but it was better than nothing. Ya know, as much as the power goes out here, you'd think I'd just bite the bullet and go down and buy a generator. I think next time it goes out I might go get one.
