Christmas List

It is getting kind of late, but for those of you last-minute shoppers who might want to get me a gift or recommend another of getting me such a gift I have compiled a list for YOU. I don't want much, but what I do want is nice... For one, I would like a Wacom pad (or a product of similar function)... For two, I would like an iPod (not a SHUFFLE) but I would preferrably want a Video, although if not, a Nano will do just about the same (any color is fine with me). By the way, I will be entering a contest soon, which will be over on the 15th, that will give first place a Video iPod and second place a Nano iPod... For three, I would absolutely enjoy having a PSP. That would be very cool... For four, I would like a XBox 360, although because of the them being so rare to find at a reasonable price, I would consider this gift a little out of the picture (but it sure would be nice).

Gatowag Tip of the Day: If you ever find yourself in the situation where you have two moniters and need to switch them, you might come to find an issue. You might have something "restored" and not in the maximized position, but it is on the side of a moniter that used to be there, so now it just dissapears everytime you "restore" it. If this ever happens to you, right click the button on the bar on the bottom, then the cursor will move to one side of one of your moniters. Although if you just try to drag it over, it won't work. Once the cursor is activated, press one of the arrow keys on your keyboard... this will automatically attach whatever you are trying to move to your cursor. Then you move your cursor to where ever you want the application to be, and click your mouse to drop it. Problem solved!

Poker

Last night we had a poker game. It's the first one I've had in like six months at least. It's been a while. Way to long if you ask me. I'm thinking about having another just after the new year. We didn't really know how it was going to turn out. We didn't have enough people until really the last minute. It ended up being myself, Lynda, Jon, Ed, Thomas, Rob, Brenda, David, Julio, and Troy. I was nearly knocked out early. I took a pretty big hit on like the third or forth hand. I thought for sure I had it, but the guy I was up against hadn't ever played with live ppl. He'd only played online. It took a little bit for me to figure him out. Of course by that time he had a big chip lead. We started out with $2125 in chips, by the 3rd or 4th hand I was down under $800. It seems I play short stacked a LOT. Would that be art imitating life? Well that's a whole other story. Anyway, I waiting until the cards came back and was able to get back even with the starting amount, but by that time a few others were building their stacks. I ended up all in for about $3000 and two pair Q's and 9's. I lost, but I ended up in the money with third. That's $50 in winnings. So I doubled my money. That was great and all, but I think the coolest part of the night was Lynda. Friday night she came over and with her never really playing a serious Texas Holdem game, we did some training. Lynda, Brandt and I played a learning game for about 4 hours or so until LATE Friday night. We would play then hand and then turn up our cards and say why we played the hand the way we did. That way we could discuss the hand and decide if we could have played it better next time. So by the time last night came around she was awesome. She kicked so much ass, including my own, and tied for 1st. She and Troy were playing heads up for quite some time. They decided that they were just going to call it and split the winnings. Troy actually, since he was ahead at the time, insisted that he get more. So he won $101 and Lynda won $99. Not bad for a $25 tournament. Anyway, next time I should probably not teach her so well so she won't beat me so bad. :)

Catching up

I have been doing almost nothing but homework for the past week, but hopefully that will change soon... Yesterday, I saw the banned XBox 360 commercial, it was hilarious... I started to act like them today during school. Nobody got the reference. I also found this cool little project, Dreamlines. I am in desperate need of a christmas list which will be made in the soon time... if I ever get a chance in the day to.

Gatowag Tip of the Day: Today I will ask one very important question. Riddle me this... Why do we sometimes answer questions in the form of a question which can in turn be answered with an answer or question even furthering the inquiry, although with such a circumstance, nobody would get an actual answer without having to answer the question at hand with an answer and not a question?

Happy Happy, Joy Joy

Been another good couple of days. I get to go pickup Brandt tomorrow. Goodie Goodie. Today's has kind of fallen apart, so far anyway, but the rest of the weekend was good enough to carry over and MORE than even out for today. I had a contract job this weekend. It got kind of messy yesterday, and even more messy today. I don't know if it's worth $100 an hour to deal with this. Well, on other hand, maybe it is... :) Gotta get.

P.S. Can someone go grocery shopping for me. I'm outta some things.

Life has been very, very good to me some more.

I just wanted it to be known that this past week has been very good to me. Things got good starting last Thursday and continue right on through today. Even with the job kind of being extra tuff this week, Brandt being gone for the week, and me squashing the shit outta my finger, life is still good. Just thought everybody should know that. :)

Web Stats

Over the past weekend my hosting service moved my website to a new server. By doing this, they have broken bbclone which is what I use for web statistics. I've been troubleshooting the problems with bbclone for a couple of days now. I finally just wiped out the hosting services bbclone and installed a brand new shiny version of my own. Just a slight tweak on the config and its all back in working order again. Downside is I lost all of my stats for the last year. I'm working on getting that info back now...

Good Stuff…

Oh, yesss... It was a good night last night. Lynda and I went to outback for dinner. After that we came home and watched a recorded episode of Survior. We then took a little break and watched "The Longest Yard" on PPV. It was a very enjoyable evening. We got along very well and spent quite a bit of time being very "comfy" on the couch. Of course I asked her out again. We are going to try and do something tonight. I really like her... alot

Tonite was berry, berry good to me…

That's right, tonight was berry berry good to me. Well there was this woman I was interested in. Actually a very good fit. Her name is Lynda. She's very cool in every way. We've always gotten along, and I've always been very interested in her, but just a bit afraid. It seems I'm the most shy with the people that I want the most. Anyway, I had planned on asking her out for a week or so now. Tonight all of IT went to happy hour. After 4 or 5 beers I got up enough nerve to ask her out. I stumbled on my words a bit, and I'm sure I looked/sounded like a dork, but she said yes. So we are going to a movie on Saturday night. I have a really good feeling about her. I guess only time will tell....

The other day I made another Gatowag concept logo, I was kind of bored and just made something random. I would really like some feedback (atleast from those in Gatowag). I had found a very interesting game two days ago... It is called Stick Arena. I have been anticipating this game for a few months and it pretty much reaches my expectations. You can find it at XGenstudios. I play under the name GATOWAG...

Birthday

Ok, so my birthday is still a long ways away... but I have recently been informed of some facts that I would like to share. Thomas Jefferson was born on April 13, 1743. I myself was born on April 13, 1992. On (Friday) April 13, 2029, an asteroid (99942 Apophis) has a possibility of hitting the eastern hemisphere. This asteroid will be traveling over 12 km/s, and it will release about 75,000 times the energy released than the nuclear bomb that was dropped over Hiroshima, Japan. Stunning I know, although, if it doesn't hit then, it will have another close call on April 13, 2036. Oh what you can learn from the Wikipedia... Anywho, I need to start a Christmas list. That's about it.

Gatowag Tip of the Day: When 2029 comes around, I suggest you try and stay a little close to the western hemisphere. You know, it's better to be safe than to be sorry.

Arrival

Yesterday, we finally got back from Oklahoma... It wasn't too awfully bad going there or back, although it was very tiring. Couldn't really get very much homework done until today. Over the weekend I found a very cool project, it is called Pandora. You can find this project at, simply, www.pandora.com. You just tell them the name of a song or artist, then it arranges a list of songs that you can listen to, as if a radio. You can tell it that you either like that song, so it will play more songs that are similar to that one, or you can say that you didn't like that song, so it won't play more songs that are similar to that one. It will remain free up to a point, but even then you just have to register an account (you don't have to release any personal information except for your age(you have to be atleast 13 years old)).

I think that it is definetely time for a new logo for Gatowag... If you have any suggestions, please, post a comment or e-mail me. I could also use some suggestions for a background on my website... If you have any suggestions, please, post a comment or e-mail me. The other day I was playing a light saber game, and I got an outstanding 54495 points. I want to see anybody beat that!

Gatowag Tip of the Day; It is a scientific fact that stating the equation E=Mc2 will actually make you sound smarter... If you tie in that equation into everyday conversaitions, you will be considered very smart.

My Weekend

So this is my weekend. I haven't ran the T-Maxx in almost a year. So needless to say the gas had all evaporated leaving just the caster oil behind. It was pretty much all gel. I had to start with the gas tank, then the lines, then the engine. I had to clean and strip pretty much everything. After about 4 hours I finally got it started. Took another hour to get it tweaked up enough to stay running. Late last night I put in another two hours to get it to shift outta reverse and into forward. This afternoon it was another 3 or 4 hours getting it to shift into high gear from low. So needless to say I've spent quite a bit of time on it this weekend. It's still needs quite a bit of tweaking, but I think I'm getting it close to drivable once again. After I get this finished, I think I'll tackle the Big Stik Airplane. It hasn't been nearly as long so it should be pretty easy compared to the T-Maxx.

Wish us well

Tonight is our final softball game for the season. We are playing the second place team so chances are we wont' do so well, but it'll still be fun. Last week we had a pretty serious injury on our team, worse than my broken ribs, so it'll be good to get everybody back into a normal game. We are already planning on playing again next season, so hopefully we'll be a little better and have a little more fun.
