Well I decieded that I didn't wanna stand in line half the day next week so I went ahead and did the early voting thing. It wasn't too aweful painfull. I still stood in line for about 45 minutes at 2pm in the afternoon. I can't imagine what it will be like on Tuesday. I'm think pretty crazy. Anyway, go get your vote on.....
So I get up this morning, its way early so I'm only 20 minutes late. That by the way, means that even though I'm late, I'm earlier than normal. I get up and stumble through the darkness into Brandt's room to wake him up. I stumble back to the bedroom. I flip on the spot lights which are pretty much my closest light source when entering the living room. So now I'm literally blinded by the light. I stumble back in to check on Brandt. As I'm headed back into the living room I notice the headless body of a rather HUGE mouse lying on my floor. ICK! We left the windows open last night trying to expunge the smell leftover from Brandt's "four and a half minutes with a honey bun in the microwave experiment". The screen doesn't really close all the way so evidently Leo had been out hunting all night. He had brought his prey back to his lair it appears. I'm just really hoping that he bled out all his blood someplace outside and not there on my floor someplace. Anyway, just wanted to share the ickyness!
For those of you with a fear of the butt-tainted terry cloth.

I don't know who did this or where it was orginally from. Many other things on the website were taken from other places and branded as there own but this one is still pretty cool. Evidently it's an animated gif of a photoshop drawing. Pretty cool....
PVR's Gone Wild.... You all know that I'll have to try this. If nothing else just to see if I can do it... I'll keep you informed on my progress...

So, I've been living in Dallas since Dec 1997. That's 7 years of enduring the OU Texas game... or as I like to call it, the Texas OU game. I really don't care who wins, well as long as it's not OU, but that's besides the point. In the seven years this is pretty much all I've learned.
1. Traffic during this whole weekend SUCKS.
2. If you see an Okie Tag on a car, give them plenty of room cuz there is no telling where they are headed.
3. If you’re in a restaurant and you hear someone that's being loud, rude, and obnoxious, chances are they will have a OU shirt on.
These are the fact so there is no need to dispute them.
Tonight, since I was feeling a bit better, I took Brandt to a little bike gathering. Since it was supposed to rain all night there wasn't that many bikes there. Maybe 60 or 80 tops. It's nothing compared to the 250-300 at the Sonic in Garland, but then again everybody thought for sure it was going to rain. They had guys doing stunts and stuff. They were really pretty decent. Unless you have ever seen guys do all these crazy things then it's really hard to understand. It's one thing to ride a wheelie or do a stoppie, but to ride a wheelie to a stop and balance it there, that's completely different. I have absolutely no interest in doing these kind of things myself, but it's fun to watch. Brandt really enjoyed himself. I think he almost like the right out there and the ride back just about as much. He really likes riding under bridges cuz with my exhaust it really sounds cool underneath there. :)
So I'm still felling pretty bad today. On many different levels I might add. I have two alarms for in the morning. The first goes off at 5:45. This is so I can be out of bed by 6:10 or so. That's just over two snoozes.... This is when I get Brandt up and get him started towards school. After he is moving I usually lay back down so the second alarm is set at 7:00. This is so I wake back up and I can get him his lunch money and out waiting for the bus. Well this morning I didn't wake up until the second alarm. Over an hour late. Well we rushed around so much I didn't even notice if I was still feeling bad or not. Well after I got to work and settled down I started to feel bad. It's been about the same badness all day. I left work a little early cuz I wasn't feeling good and I also wanted to run some errands. I came home and got Brandt. He still had homework so he did most of it in the truck. We went to the bike shop and got him a helmet. It' not a $500 one but it is pretty nice and will protect his big football shaped mellon of a head. :) I was feeling a little better at this time so we went to eat. After we got home and Brandt finished his homework we took a little ride. It was nice. It was cool, there were thunderstorms off in the distance, and very little traffic. Since it was Brandt's first real ride we took it pretty easy. About 15 minutes or so was all. He really enjoyed himself. He leans a little bit too much but other than that, not too bad for his first real ride. I'm feeling pretty bad again, but even with that the day ended up pretty nice. I could use some nice right about now... :)
Check this site out.... Stop Motion It's pretty cool what you can do with a little video and some imagination. I orginally found it here at Boing Boing.

I really want one of these. So if anybody is looking for a christmas or birthday present for me... Put this on the list....
Great, now I'm sick... :(
This weekend was great and sucked at the same time. Friday I went and played poker. I placed second and won $60 so that's good. I really had a lot of fun. It turned horribly wrong after that and pretty much sucked the rest of the weekend. I had so many thing to do this weekend but I didn't get anything done at all. Sunday I laid on the couch all day. I was so not with it I missed most of the race. That's pretty bad. Anyway, it's supposed to rain this whole week so I guess It'll pretty much fit my mood. Anyway.....
Don't ask... Just Read...

Here's a pretty cool site... http://diddly.com/random/ It pulls up just random pictures from google. Lots of family pics and just serious randomness. Some pics may not be suitable for the younger surfers... Just something interesting to pass the time.
Check it out... http://web.archive.org/web/20020806195533/http://www.williamhughes.net/ at the way back machine. There are a couple of older copies if the website there but they don't appear to be complete copies...
http://kevinrose.typepad.com/kr/2004/09/power_over_ethe.html This is a very cool technology. 3 Com does the same thing with their IP phones. We have a 3Com NBX100 at work. We can simply add a card into the phone system that put out power over the ethernet cable. This way you can plug in an IP phone into the network and with out any additional power cables the phone works. Those power cables are really a pain in the ass... Anyway, just thought that was cool.....
Wow, check out the traffic.... Notice the Average Projected uniques. They are up 33,965%. The Projected Hits are also up 7,130.9%. If you are looking at the graph the red line is today and the blue line is the moving average. Another interesting stats is on the browsers page, not shown, 50.7% of all hits were from Mozilla with only 42.4% going to Explorer. YEAH, Firefox..... This just is no doubtedly from the trackbacks to a couple of Kevin Rose's post....
Well it looks like Kevin has another cool Google hack. Hopefully it doesn't go away like his last one did. Until it was overused you could go to Google and search for visa 4356000000000000..4356999999999999 and it would bring back a list of basically credit card numbers and names. I believe exp dates were included as well. Tens of thousands of them. Very dangerous situation. Now of course it just brings up a list of websites that have that hack on it, like this one. :) Here are the new ones... You can easily change them up to find some pretty interesting things....
So just in case you haven't had a reason to switch to linux or OSx up to this point, here's one that should make you seriously think about it. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS04-028.mspx It effects nearly every current version of windows, and if you happen to have office installed it doesn't help to just patch windows, you have to patch office as well. If it weren't for the games my good buddy bill would never see another dime of my money.
Dave's not here, man...!
