ESPN Sucks

It's finally happened. ESPN should stand for "Extreme Sports for the Prissy Network". Today they actually had jump rope on today, JUMP ROPE. I almost couldn't stand that for another second. I tried to divert my attention to just about anything else. I got lucky and only got on the last 30 minutes then they had a little X-Games to try and gain some of their lost respect back.

As the Toe Turns!

So, I know many of you are wondering "What ever happened to your toe injury?". No, really, many of you are wondering that! Well It still hurts like hell. It doesn't hurt to just sit there any more, and I can walk pretty much normal now, but if I do anything that is toe intensive I can sure tell it in a hurry. Anyway, that's the scoop. Now you can say you know!

Evil Plot

If you had your mail stopped or something, say you went on vacation or something like that, you'd expect that when you came home and turned it on they would bring all your mail. Maybe it would have been all bundled up maybe with some big rubber bands or string maybe. Well the other day the mail person brought me my mail all bundled up in multiple rubber bands. It was like ten pounds of mail. What sucked was NONE of it was for me. It was all catalogs. Many of you know my ongoing catalog issue. Well this was like twenty in one day. And it's not like they had been saving them up or anything cuz the flow hasn't slowed one little bit. I'm thinking that it's some sort of evil plot against me or something by the catalogs themselves. You guess is as good as mine at this point.

I need a robot monkey maid!

So I thought that sparkly chandelier and those divided light glass door where really cool and would add a lot to my house. Ya, chick magnet! Well that was until I had to clean them. Holy crap!!! I haven't even gotten to the crazy hard chandelier. This is just the easy one. Course I still have to get out the ole 8 ft ladder just to reach them. These are just some of the MANY reasons I need a robot monkey maid or at least somebody to perform those duties for me. ;)

BTW, grrrrr!

Ahhhhh Friday!

I so look forward to Friday's. It's not that it's just the last day of the work week. It's the fact that I get to wear casual clothes to work. I'm back in my element so to speak. All week long I wear pretty dressy clothes.

I don't really have any business casual so I look like I'm going out on a night on the town. I don't think ppl mind. I get told I look pretty good a lot so that's a good feeling. The dry cleaning bill just about kills me but it is pretty nice to put on a nice starched shirt and a pair of pressed Dockers.

On Fridays I'm back to my natural habitat. My white Reeboks, blue jeans, gray T-shirt, red plaid over shirt and my OK State hat. NOW I can work. I won't, but I could. :) I'm way too comfortable to work, hence the reason I'm here writing this.

Hot Stuff

So last Saturday night my A/C started to go out. By Sunday morning it was flat on it's ass dead. So far since the failure there hasn't been a day cooler than 100 degrees. I've been pretty damn miserable and on top of that, it's been hot too! :) Anyway this afternoon the A/C guys FINALLY came out and fixed it. Or at least I'm hoping. Right now I'm calculating how long it takes for this house to go from like 1000 degrees back down to 68 degrees.... Bring on the penguins!

Grrrrrr……

Could someone please come help me mow the dang grass. It's not actually the mowing that gets me, it's the edging, the edging, the sweeping, the trimming and the flower beds. It doesn't help with it's almost 100 degrees outside. There are chemicals in the pool so I still have 2 hours before I can get in there. I think it's just best for me to sit on my ass for a bit more. I'm good at that.

Oh yeah….

Have you ever had goose bumps while you were sweating? Today I was at the gas station. It was like 1000 degrees and I was in my little monkey suit sweating up a storm. I all of a sudden thought I was having a flash back. Nothing unusual about that. I would have sworn that I hear a C5, with engines at idle. I also swore I heard landing gear extending (yes there is a difference between extending and retracting). I was thinking that I had completely lost my mind when all of a sudden I was consumed by this gigantic shadow. I looked up and there it was. 1500 foot or so, flaps at forty, gear down but still rotating, flying straight and level on base slowly feeding in throttle to compensate for the drag. I didn't hardly even have time to think about it, just sucking it all in. It had Travis tail flashing but I can overlook that. I watched it all the way until it turned on final for DFW. It was at that point I noticed the goose bumps. With it being dark green against a overcast sky you could see it for quite a while. I know I looked like a dork standing there at the gas pump with my mouth hanging open but it did take me back to a better time....

Long time no type

Well today I turned the ole server back on for the first time since the move. Everything came up normally and is ready to go for the Friday internet turn up. I had planned on doing a complete web site make over while everything was down. Due to my work overload between the house, work, and everything else I serverly over estimated the amount of free time I have. So I haven't touched any of this stuff. Anyway, I got burgers and brots on the grill so I better get. They don't take long to cook.

Close

So I finally closed on my house today. I had been pretty much fine most of the time up till this morning. Stressed but nothing bigger than that. Well this morning I woke up and my stomache was doing back flips. I thought after I settled that I'd be fine. I got to the title company and things got even worse. I now having the stomache issue as well as being light headed and dizzy (more than normal that is). I tried to hurry things along and once I got in there and started signing my life away I started to feel better all over. Now I'm just about fine. I feel a little weird but I think it's just some residual stress. I get the keys tonight and then it's just a matter of waiting for the movers on Monday. Most ppl already know that resistant to changes anyway, so all this stress and stuff probably comes to no surprize to these ppl. Anyway..... '''yay' for me!!!
